​EMDR

The mind can often heal itself naturally, much like how the body can heal. Much of this natural coping mechanism occurs during sleep, particularly during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. EMDR can accelerate therapy by resolving the impact of your past traumas or distress and allowing you to live more fully in the present. EMDR is a gentler and quicker way to resolve traumatic memories. EMDR can help you move past your past and reclaim your life. EMDR is also and excellent modality for depression, anxiety, compulsions, and the list goes on.

Writing
​Therapy

You can create your own story. The most important aspect in literature is the character arc or how does the character change. We all cheer for the hero. Be the hero of your own life and reclaim your life. Writing therapy uses bibliotherapy (fiction or non-fiction), writing your memoir, journaling, expressive writing, and narrative therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral therapy

Cognitive Behavioral therapy focuses on how your thoughts influence your mood and your actions. It is a well established therapy. I use CBT in conjunction with EMDR, Writing Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy, or we can use CBT exclusively based on your ​needs preference and comfort. I am flexible. CBT is an excellent and treatment strategy. 

Solution-focused Strength-based​

Sometimes we just feel stuck, either in a job, marriage, or other situation that’s not working for us. I am very solution-focused and I know there is a solution for anything. What is holding you back from the life you want? How can I help you see the opportunities for positive growth?
